Trio Makeup and Hair Design provides stress-free beauty services

Trio Makeup and Hair Design helps women look and feel their best on their special day. 

Trio works on location, offering makeup and hair services for brides and bridal parties. 

"Wherever the bride is getting ready, whether it be a hotel room, at the venue or at her house, we pack up our crew and come out to wherever they are and do full-on hair and makeup to get them ready for their special day," owner Nikkea Dougherty said. 

Trio makes the process easy for their clients by providing all necessary makeup and hair supplies. 

"We get them ready from start to finish so they don't have to go anywhere on their wedding day," said Dougherty, a Kennesaw resident who worked her first wedding doing hair and makeup during her senior year of high school.

"Brides on their wedding day are so overwhelmed and stressed," she said. "It takes a lot of stress off the bride. They don't have to do anything. It's so convenient for them," she said. Dougherty also noted that often the bridal party goes one place for hair and another for makeup. 

"It saves the whole bridal party time more than anything and stress from having to keep up," she said. 

Dougherty, who previously worked as a professional makeup artist for Bare Escentuals and Clinique Cosmetics, said Trio establishes a relationship with the bride by offering a consultation and free trial run on the services. The company also offers similar services for prom, homecoming or other special occasions.

Trio, originally started by Dougherty and two friends, creates a fun atmosphere while providing professional services with passion. 

"We know how important is for our clients not only look their best but to feel their best," she said. "We help make that happen. We have so much fun."
